CONCEPT
ある日、墨絵みたいに美しい模様に引き寄せられ、砂浜の近くまで行った。
しゃがんで見てみると、それは小さな黒い点々だった。
たぶんバクテリアの死骸とか、何かの糞とかそういうものが波で打ち上げられたのだろう。
その時、はっと気づいた。
私たちが心振るわせる自然の景色というのは、有機物の点の集合体だということ。
山は、ほとんど木の葉の点でできていて、その中に虫や鳥や花が混じる。
もっと近づくと、細胞や菌や蜘蛛の糸が混じる。そんな途方もない点々が全てを構成している。
だとすると、私たちの手製のタイルが作り出す景色はそれととても近しく、表現は無限のような気がした。
歪んだり、発色が悪いのもあったり、そもそもひとつひとつに手の揺らぎがあるタイル。
小さなひとつひとつに個性があり、釉薬の結晶は細胞のよう。
いつか雄大なあの景色のように心震わすタイルを組みたい。そんな夢をみています。

At that time, I suddenly noticed.
The natural scenery that impresses us is the collection of organic matter.
Mountains are mostly made up of leaves, with insects, birds and flowers in them.
In addition, there are cells, fungi and spider silk. Such tremendous points make up everything.
If so, our handmade tiles feel very similar to that, and the expression is endless.
Each handmade tile has hand fluctuations and individuality, and the glaze crystals are like cells.
Someday we want to make tiles that impress people like magnificent scenery. We have such a dream.
タイルという素材は、水にも火にも汚れにも強い建材でもあるので、飾るだけではなく生活を守る住居の一部として昔から人々とともにあります。
その上、土からパーツを作り出すので、色や質感、
形や大きさなど、表現の可能性も無限です。
アートでありながら建材としての役割や実用性があるので、
私達は装飾とよんでいます。

OUR TILES
タイルはすべて手作業で作ります。
手間や時間はかかりますが、思いついたらすぐにチャレンジできるという良さもあり、
私たちにとってはそれが最大の魅力です。
使用している土や釉薬の種類は多く、組み合わせ次第で、色も質感も無限に広がり、それに加えて形や
サイズ、厚みのあるものなど、タイルのバリエーションは果てしないです。
タイルの施工場所が決まると、まずは用途やコンセプトに合わせてデザインの構想をねり、
その場所のためのタイル作りからはじめます。
現代の生活にあった彩りや豊かさを添えられるような装飾を提案できたらと思っています。
